On the subject of that line about beautiful strangers - I like your interpretation but I prefer the line to be hovering in an ambiguous poetic superposition pre-narrative . For me it’s an awesome line without being specified
You know, I agree with you. I think it's a bit tacky to write about one's own songs this way. It can take something important away from the listener. But since nobody really writes about lyrics anymore (let alone about *mine*), I figured I'd take a crack at it myself. Thanks for reading the post and responding to the song. That is always so heartening.
