I’m going to be brief today, but want to let you know we’ll be playing an album release show on Saturday, May 4, at The Basement in Richmond. Subscribers will get details and the ticket link before those are announced elsewhere. We would love for you to join us.
Thanks to everyone who rose to last week’s challenge and played our game! It was moving to see such thoughtful responses. It’s not easy to admit how we fail at love. There really is no way past but through, and it’s much better to have company on that path than it is to try to walk it alone.
I wrote each entrant’s name on little scraps of metal and threw them all into a well. I fished around down there with a magnet on a string, and the first name I hauled in was Lisa’s. So congratulations, Lisa — you’re the winner! Who says honest vulnerability never wins prizes? It does now!
Lastly, I’m leaving you with a new recording of “In Good Time.” Some of you may remember that a different version of this song was an outtake from the first record. Well, this new version is an outtake from New Love Stories. We love them both — they just didn’t fit.
Once again, Bob Miller played trumpet. That’s his incredible solo about a minute and a half in.
Thank you, Tim!! I am honored.
I’m so glad you are writing, recording, and sharing. It feels good to share connection as we navigate this world.
