Hello. I’m back. Our second album is coming out toward the beginning of May. It’s called New Love Stories — a title that’s at least as aspirational as it is audacious. I think it’s a great record. We’re all proud of it. It’s made me think about how much there is to say about love.
I’m so looking forward to this next album! And since you asked, this is one of my favorite “love” songs - sad, sexy, exquisite vocals & guitar - and I love the black & white photography. Who doesn’t love some Chris Isaak in the surf? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jd-qI62gNJM
Looking forward to the weekly missives. A nice reminder to reacquaint myself with the debut. I'm an old acquaintance of Bob Massey and have been following you since he posted some time ago about the impending release of your album and was happy to purchase the vinyl. I've not been able to catch any of your local shows (I live about 2 hrs from Richmond), but hope to in 2024.
What a lovely video. Somehow, this is the first time I'm seeing it, probably because it came out during the years that I lived without TV. This post inspired me to look up the video for one of my favorite ever love songs: This Must Be the Place by Talking Heads. It's got some sweetness to it, too, and I was glad to see it. Why is it shocking to see how young they all were?
Hey, thanks for saying hi and for buying the last record. Bob is the glue that holds everything together.
I don’t know if there’s a relevant video, but my favorite love dong is Cover Me Up by Jason Isbell. My favorite lines:
Girls leave your boots by the bed,
We ain’t leaving this room
Until someone needs medical help
Or the magnolias bloom
It takes a corny sentiment and makes it suddenly somewhat disturbing, which I admire.

Thanks, just learned a new word ("metonym").
